Work
The new Champlain Bridge corridor project includes improvements to the South Shore ramps between Highway 132 and Highway 10 as well as the reconfiguration of the interchange that connects Highways 10, 15 and 20. This work will be carried out to optimize the new bridge’s on- and off-ramps. Design and planning for the work is being coordinated with the Ministère des Transports du Québec (Quebec Department of Transportation).
The new Champlain Bridge corridor project will also provide residents of Montreal and the South Shore with a safe, multi-use path for pedestrians and cyclists on the two newbridges, creating a direct link between the two shores that does not exist at present.
In 2015, a temporary jetty was built between the Îles de la Couvée and the shore in Brossard in order to do the work in this sector.
